2011 Sneaker of The Year: #AirJordan 11 #Concord

15 years after its original release, The Air Jordan 11 (Concord) has created a historical buzz in the sneaker industry. Retailing for $180, the midnight release of the tuxedo inspired shoe resulted in near riot reactions from customers in Georgia and long-ass line ups in Indiana, Florida, Texas and Virginia. The concord has always been considered the best Air Jordan design of the entire series and is a must have for any true sneaker connoisseur. Last time I checked EBAY, an authentic pair of Concords were bidding for close to $500.

Get Fresh: NIKE AIR MAX LEBRON VIII SAMPLE

This Nike Air Max LeBron VIII sample has been causing a massive stir on sneaker blogs the world over, not so much for the fact that there is no inkling of when it will drop, but more so because it still bears LeBron's LB23 logo. It's a well known fact that as a free agent LeBron has signed paperwork enabling him to denounce his famous twenty-three in favour of the number six, which graced his back at the most recent Olympics. The mystery surrounding this drop and Lebron's digits has die hard b-ball heads bouncing, so for now, sit back and enjoy these fly(wire) images courtesy of LRG23.com

Devine Calloway is bringing etnies and Chocolate skateboards together for the brand’s first joint project! This royal blue mid-top beauty is offset with a red and yellow ankle flash, with graphics inspired by none other than 70s P-Funk stars – Parliament. There's a board as well. Time to 'Get up for the Downstroke', but only in your finer skate shops.

Casual Friday Kicks: CONVERSE SKIDGRIP HI (HUF X 1HUND(RED))

Team HUF have joined the fight against AIDS in Africa by contributing to the Converse 1HUND(RED) artists project. Lending their creative talents to the Skidgrip hi, Keith Hufnagel and Hanni El Khatib have created a simple monochrome upper covered in an ‘H’ repeat pattern that references vintage skate graphics and type. “We wanted to reference the skate and surf vibe of the 1980s and the Skidgrip was a great, authentic foundation.” The shoe will be available from October 3rd, with a percentage of the net wholesale price going to AIDS relief in Africa.

The Nike Air Feather sneaker looks eerily like a jacked-up Air Force One, and seems much more weighty than its delicate name suggests! With added support in the ankle and a strap tight system in place, you know you'll be flying high in these sweet moonboots!
